README

The ofxHwdPlugin consists of two components:

Building the HwdPlugin for ARM/Linux (e.g. Olimex A20) with Code::Blocks

There is already built plugin for ARM/Linux, and no special actions need to use the plugin from an app. But, if desired, the plugin may be rebuilt. Building the plugin is mandatory for other platform, e.g. Mac.

The HwdPlugin has the following dependencies: There is project file for Code::Blocks. To build: 1. From Code::Blocks IDE open project file ofxHwdPlugin/libs/HwdLib/HwdLib.cbp. 2. Build. Built files are places under ofxHwdPlugin/libs/HwdLib/lib/linuxarmv7l.

Building the HwdPlugin for Mac with Code::Blocks (not checked)

There is no special Code::Blocks project file for Mac. The one for ARM/Linux must be used and edited. Dependencies are still the same, but there may be some difference in library names (e.g fftw-3 instead fftw), so to fix this issue ofxHwdPlugin/libs/HwdLib/HwdLib.cbp must be edited. Also, output for ARM/Linux is "linuxarmv7l" folder and for Mac there must be some other. Again, ofxHwdPlugin/libs/HwdLib/HwdLib.cbp must be edited to fix this folder name. Then the edited HwdLib.cbp may be used to build for Mac with Code::Blocks.

Building the HwdPlugin for Mac with XCode (not checked)

You must create to project with output target - static library. Then add to the project all plugin source files (all .h and .cpp files under ofxHwdPlugin/libs/HwdLib/src, recursively). Then add dependencies: fftw, rtaudio (rtaudio may require additianal dependencies: at least asound and pulse-simple under ARM/Linux). At successful built static lib will created. This lib must be placed under ofxHwdPlugin/libs/HwdLib/lib folder.
