README
ofxTimestamp
Small openFrameworks addon for writing a heartbeat timestamp to disk at a fixed interval.
It is useful when another process needs a simple "is the app still alive?" signal without opening a socket, adding OSC, or building a heavier integration. The addon writes the current
ofGetElapsedTimeMillis() value to bin/data/<filename>.txt.Usage
#include "ofxTimestamp.h"
ofxTimestamp timestamp;
void ofApp::setup(){
timestamp.setup(1.0f, "timestamp");
}
void ofApp::update(){
timestamp.update();
}Compatibility
Tested with openFrameworks 0.12.1 on macOS.
The example includes the standard openFrameworks Makefile flow:
cd example
make Debug
make RunDebug Get this addon
